Always on top of the action

When SPAA05.com started racing in 2010 we immediately loved the experience on the track. The only downside was when you are not racing yourself, you only see the team's car pass by once per lap. As a result, we usually found crowds of people standing around one of the rare television screens that show the track's cameras to get a least a bit more of the action.

Lite version

Easy starter set for one car contains:

Race car telemetry box with 1- 5Hz GPS and RF transmitter and antennas.
Pit-box receiver with antenna, USB cables and power supply.
CD-rom with single user software and 5 tracks, runs on Windows XP/Vista/7 laptop/PC
Available upgrades: high speed GPS, ECU data link, multiple racecars, high power RF transmitter, Wifi web browser / publisher

AIM Pro kit (under development)

The AIMpro kit will offer the ability to read and send the information of the data on the cars AIM system in real time to the pits. Information like, RPM, Oil Pressure, Water temperature, Throttle position etc will then be available.

LVid kit (under development)

The LVid kit will transmit onboard video to the pits in real-time. Initial tests look very promising.

We wanted to offer our relations and team more than this and went to look for a suitable telemetry system, so people could keep track of the cars. Having found none for a reasonable price we started to develop a system ourselves, and named it SPAA05 Race Car Telemetry: a low cost, feature-rich telemetry system. The RCT has been tested successfully with full coverage on circuits like Circuitpark Zandvoort, TT-Circuit Assen and Snetterton.

We will also offer an option to transmit information taken from the AIM-sport CAN-bus interface in real-time to the pit. This will include information such as:

Turbo pressure
Tire pressure
Oil temperature
Water temperature
